Fence Controller
While horses are fairly easy to contain, you will need a low impedance fence
controller (2,000 - 3,000 volts on the fence) to adequately energize poly tape
or poly rope. You can choose an AC,
DC or
solar-powered
fence controller, depending on the size of the fence perimeter and the
availability of power source.
Posts and Spacing
Plan to use wood posts at corners, gates and all tensioning points. Line posts
may be either wood or t-posts.
We recommend posts extend 5 feet above ground, spaced about 12 feet apart.
It is simple to create the white-rail look by sliding white vinyl sleeves with
caps over your fence posts. The 5 foot tall sleaves also protect horses from
injury. Two sleeve sizes available: 4-inch sleeve fits 3-1/2 inch round or
square wood posts; 2-inch sleeve fits all t-posts.

Fence Wire and Splicers
White poly tape and poly rope complete the white-rail system at a fraction of
the cost of vinyl or wood fences. We suggest white 1-1/2" poly tape or white
1/4" diameter poly rope for optimum visibility.
